Pumpkins Everywhere!

Every year during Fall we always go to a pumpkin farm.  Recently, we took a trip to the pumpkin farm in Wheatland, where happy faces of children and adults were all around us.

The scrarecrows were
greeting us in their
unique costumes.
Here is the Wizard
of Oz' Dorothy and
Scarecrow.

Dorothy's ruby
red slippers.

Pumpkin head
scarecrow.

I loved this wheelbarrow
filled with fall flowers.

The train is a must
to go on every year.

There's even a petting zoo.
Here's a sweet little goat.

Look over here, donkey.

The burro was a bit shy.

They have the most
delicious goodies;
cinnamon rolls with
cream cheese frosting.

A variety of pies.

Ahhh, my favorite,
the caramel apples.

The bright orange
pumpkins made
my heart sing.

A mouse pumpkin.

They even had
pink pumpkins!

Is this the oldest
truck you've ever
seen?

What a fun day
at the pumpkin farm!

What A Glorious Day

Nel got married last weekend!  It was a glorious day, and everyone had a fun time.  Jess' speech, as the Maid of Honor, was so special and very touching.  The flower arrangements that were made by the groom's aunt were beautiful.  It was a lantern with a white candle inside surrounded by red roses.  We still have to get our pictures together, and soon we will share them with you.  This is the beautiful Catholic church she was married in.

Nel is a bride now!
Her and her husband
have a long journey
ahead of them.

Meet The Girls!

I know it's a little early, but when I saw these three witches at Marshalls, I had to get them.  They reminded me of me, Nel, and Jess.

The one in the middle with the sweet mishievous smile is Jess, the smart and clever one on the left is Nel, and the older and wiser one on the right is me. hehe
O.K. maybe just older....

I love my witches.  They are sewn and stuck together, and that's the way that I always want us to be.

Have you decorated for Fall yet?

Thank You For My Coffee

I was in the drive-through line at Starbucks getting my usual cup of coffee, and it was my turn to pay.  I'm at the window and the guy says to me, "the lady in front of you bought your coffee today."  I said, "does she know me?" and he said, "I don't know, she just told me she'd pay for your coffee too."  I thought it was the nicest thing, and it made my day special.  Has that ever happened to you?

Your Unique Self

Everyone's
personality
is different -
that's what
makes us all
unique individuals.

Are you a bit shy?

Possibly a tomboy?

Do you smile alot?

Like to have fun?

Do you have
lovely tendencies?

Are you funny?

A
relaxed person
or
a daydreamer?

Maybe you're
a bit
whimsical?

Whatever you are,
that makes you
the special person
that I'm thankful
to call my friend.

What is your
personality?
I'd love to hear.

Welcome Fall

Fall...  There is so much wondrous beauty  during this time that make this season my most favorite of all.

The weather gets cooler
and
The leaves start to fall

Hot apple cider

Scented spice candles

And most important,
Nel gets married
in the Fall!

A little elf
sat in a tree
painting leaves
to throw at me.

Leaves of yellow
and leaves of red
came tumbling down
about my head.

Do you have any special Fall plans?

A Holiday Hike

This weekend, we went for a hike in the Orange County hills of Crystal Cove State Park.

Along the way, we passed by some interesting landscape.

Is it just me, or this cactus giving us a 'warm greeting'?

We stumbled upon a sun bathing lizard and a little jack rabbit with a white fluffy tail (who unfortunately did not want his picture taken.)  But luckily, the lizard posed for my camera.

We hiked all the way to the ocean, where the seaside breeze cooled us off.

Sometimes the most pleasant afternoon is one spent outdoors.  I hope you all had a very relaxing Labor Day.
